Checklist

Here is a checklist of all the general things I think I need to do to build this garden railway, I will cross out the things that I have done as I go down the list.  Somethings may get finished out of order, but there is no definite order I need to follow anyways.

1. Find materials required to build fence, railway, and finish pond.
2. Choose method of roadbed and track installation.
3. Find source to buy track online at low prices.
4. Choose type of track.
5. Find good track-plan idea.
6. Find source for roadbed.
7. Find source for mulch and rocks.
8. Begin to clean, and reserve existing track that works.
9. Re-wire porter locomotive and modify couplers.
10. Build track cleaning car.
11. Modify switches.
12. re-build and paint birdhouses to look like buildings.  >>half done<<
13. Look for interesting objects like driftwood and rocks.
14. Build retaining walls.
15. Back-fill dirt.
16. Install paver bricks in areas to watch trains.
17. Add mountains and rocks to support dirt.
18. Complete pond installation. (still need pump)
19. Install roadbed. >>half done<<
20. Lay track.>> half done<<
21. Wire in the power pack and console for power.
22. Get train operating reliably. (so far operating only on test track).
23. Buy mulch.
24. Buy trees and greenery.
25. Plant trees and mulch
26. Plant and set out interesting rocks and driftwood. >>half done<<
27. Install outdoor lighting system.
28. Clean locomotives and rolling stock.
29. Clean out pond
30. Fill pond with water
31. Install water pump into pond.
32. Set up hammock.
